Parametric design and design for disassembly are the keywords for this project, that contains urban housing for students, located in Copenhagen. The aim was to create curious and affordable housing based on the concept for tiny living, with bespoke fixed furniture to create a flexible environment. The whole building is moveable and made of pre-fabricated units, to enhance flexibility and keep the costs low. Two different scenarios, ‘the tower’ and ‘stacking’ are both modular housing concepts, based on different starting points regarding concept and flexibility. ‘Tower’ – the construction can be transformed, changed and reused for a specific context. The individual units can be moved and reused in a different context, depending on specific needs. A new fixed tower can be made by adding small adjustments to the main construction. ‘Stacking’ is 100 % moveable and everything is fixed in the interior solutions.
