Monument

Exhibition design at Peter Lav Gallery, Copenhagen In 1895 the sculptor Hans Petersen Dau created a lion sculpture. The fate of this lion was uncertain and it was impossible to determine its original purpose. This story inspired visual artist Søren Lose to create the installation ‘Monument’ in collaboration with THUS studios. The centerpiece of the exhibition was the wooden structure ‘Lion’, a copy of the pedestal from H.W. Bissen’s Istedløven. The structure was made out of recycled wood as a temporary seating installation.
