J Residence

The goal of this project has been to create a brighter and more open atmosphere. To achieve this, a large beam has been installed, enabling the apartment to be opened up and allowing light to flow across the large living space. This solution not only improves natural light but also creates a sense of spaciousness and cohesion. A balcony has been added to expand the home's usability and enhance residents' access to outdoor areas. This addition further integrates light and air into the apartment. Throughout the design process, we have focused on preserving and utilizing the existing installations, which is both sustainable and economically advantageous. This approach ensures respect for the building's original character and functionality while meeting modern needs and aesthetics. Overall, this project represents a successful transformation of a traditional Copenhagen apartment into a bright, open, and modern home where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand (illustrations are under development. coming soon)
